The Eastern UNSW Lions are a joint venture between the University of New South Wales Football Club (UNSW FC) and the Eastern Suburbs Football Association competing in the Football NSW Women's Super League (WSL) competition.
Founded in 2010, the team was established to bring elite female football back to the Eastern Suburbs by combining the player base of ESFA with the coaching and management experience from UNSW FC. The WSL consists of five divisions, U12, U14 and U16 beneath the First and Reserve grades.
The fundamental goal of the Eastern UNSW Lions is to create a pathway for representative girl's and women's football in the Eastern Suburbs by providing footballing opportunities at an elite level.

2012 Trials
The Eastern UNSW Lions are inviting interested players to trial for the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and All Age squads for the 2012 competition.

All players are to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to starting time and are reminded to bring a drink. Neutral attire must be worn – no Representative, Development Squad, Football NSW or other representative gear may be worn.

Past Seasons
The inaugral season of the Eastern UNSW Lions saw the teams in all divisions perform exceptionally well with the Reserve team winning the Premiership and Championship double. The Lions also hosted a Women's Six-a-Side Gala Day on Sunday, 12 September 2010 that saw over 60 female teams compete in games of football and culminated with the Lions playing a friendly with Sydney FC Women.
