This season will be remembered as a difficult year, with heavy rainfall resulting in a record number of matches washed out.

The second season of the Referees Branch saw it continue its success on and off the park from 2009. Nicky Carle was a special guest at the Referees Branch Presentation of Awards:

Michael Puterflam, ESFA player and referee, is attempting to enter the Guinness World Records for the longest consecutive time playing a football video game, on EA Sports’ FIFA 11, to raise $30 000 for charity. The current record is 24 hours, set in January 2010 in London.

Players have been selected to form the ESFA 2011 Under 11 and Under 12 sides in the Football NSW Metropolitan Representative League and players have been selected to be part of a train-on squad to train with the selected players. Congratulations to all selected players!
